And thus I pen the tentative end to another chapter in my life
With a final kiss and a final cigarette it ends. Tears well behind my half-lidded eyes, I reminisce about the first time I wept over it all. I knew it would not be the last time. Now, on a strangely cold summer’s eve, I knew not if I would ever feel that touch again, or touch that feeling that I had sitting just below the skin. I wanted to know I still had a friend through it all, a companion. I just wasn’t sure.
